International Students in UK Increases the Economy

The economy has come a long way since trade has started. Now, there is more money being brought in within the United Kingdom, and that is being done through education. Education has brought in more money than any financial services or vehicle trade. According to the article, Education 'worth 28bn to Britain, education and training exports were worth 28bn billion in 2003-2004 compared to 19bn-20bn worth in financial services and the automotive industry. Education has increased in value due to the number of international students that are studying in Britian. According to the article, international students brought in 39% more money in 2003-2004 than in 2001-2002. That is 8.5bn billion dollars more! Education is truly valued in the United Kingdom according to these drastic numbers that have increased.

I found this article pretty interesting due to the stats. I had never heard of education bringing in more money than any automotive company or other financial services. It is interesting that education is valued more in the United Kingdom than in the United States. The system there must be better since there are more international students going there. Are there a lot of international students coming to the United States to study vs. another country? I think that other countries are seeing the tight empahsis that is put into testing and only preparing for a test. Or maybe it is cheaper to study in Britain that the United States. I also believe that more internationl students are going to Britain because of where it is located and for the scenery. There is plenty of places to see in the United States, but not enough to bring in a lot of international students.
