France urges China to join Global Environment fight

Today President Nicolas Sarkozy urged China, one of the world's major polluters, to join in a "worldwide ecological and economic New Deal to fight global warming." He urges that this "new deal" must happen quickly" in order for it to be substantial and benefitial. With China being the "world's largest emitter of greenhouse gases" it is important that they join in the effort to stop the global warming problem. Sarkozy is asking that China creates the new pacts and and even said: "...you can make this development an example for the world."

I believe that this push by France is of vital importance to the stop of Global Warming. You can not possibly stop it without the help of the countries that cause the most damage. I believe that France should also encourage other developing countries to stop or moniter their emissions. I think this "New Deal" should also be pushd to countries that arent developing to set a standard across the world.
