New Test Scores Literacy

Students from Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario have the top scores on an international literacy test. This test is called the Progress in International Reading Literacy Study that measures reading skills of fourth graders in fourty countries. About five Candanian provinces participated in this study, and they were measured seperately from other schools. The Candanian provinces have been making an effort for a while to improve early literacy skills. This test is only being used to measure the literacy skills of elementary aged students now, but hopes that it can be used in higher grade levels soon. Alberta scored the best among other places. Their students are among the best in the world, and they perform well on tests.
I think that there should be more test to created to see how well a student's literacy level is. There is so much that I child/person can do with reading, and I think that it is essential to live a normal life. If this test can determine what level a person is at in reading, then there can be some type of invention to improve the reading for people all over the globe!
