Perils of urbanisation take screen at film fest

A film festival in Hai Ba Trung Street, Hanoi is taking place November 30th. The film festival, presented by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) was put in place to bring awareness to the complex population and development issues around the world. The film on urbanization which will be presented that day, is a major development in the world of urbanization. The festival is called "Tales of the City." It includes 10 documentary films, including 2 that are Vietnamese, look at the topic of urbanization. The films look at the perils of urbanization around the world and a different view of the process from others. I think that this is a good way to show how urbanization can effect from different angles. The films provide information to people who may not even know what urbanization is. The fact of the matter is that the topic is being pushed and stressed because its a major development in the world today. UNFPA has organised the film festival for the past two-years to launch the State of World Population Report. Hopefully they will do it again. These videos can also be seen online by everyone.
