Scotland is having a teenage preganancy crisis. The numbers have been building for years with no luck at trying to reduce them . The numbers are now at 80 pregancies for every 1000 girls under 16 years of age. Most of these girls live in the most deprived areas. 10 out of every 40 live in the most poverished areas. 1 out of 40 live in affluent areas. The government has decided to work hand in hand with theses people and other agencies to reduce this number. They have developed a national sexual health strategy which is based on respect and responsibity. They hope to have reduced the numbers by 20% by 2010.
