In the current world social forum where nations are going to have to work together to help combat climate change and pollution, there have been many plans. The EU,
        The European Union had promised a 20% cut of greenhouse gases because it did not want to hurt businesses but said that if other nations make efforts the EU will cut emissions by 30%. However, the EU has withdrawn from the 30% mark even though many other nations have make efforts and progress. They will finalize their percentage in a new climate deal due out in a few years but has told nations to aim for a 20% reduction.
        This delay and reduction has upset many environmentalists and supporters of the reduction of greenhouse gases. Many feel that if the EU delays working for a 30% mark it will not allow nations to reach the goal due to time restrictions. Many others worry that if the EU does not try to reach a goal it will no longer be taken seriously in the world as an opponent of climate change.
        It appears to me that once again world nations have their own interests ahead of the world. I feel as if the EU has shown its true colors by reducing its quota back down to what they thought would not hinder businesses. It’s almost refreshing though. I feel like the
