Pakistans Tribal Areas: A Wild Frontier

On September 15th, two helicopters full of American soldiers walked on foot over to Pakistan from Afghanistan. In July George Bush authorized an American policy of launching raids on Pakistan without the approval of their government. This time, however, Pakistani forces answered with their own acts of aggression forcing the American troops back by shooting over their heads.
As stated in some of my earlier current events, this area of Northwest Pakistan is the main refugee and supply route for the Taliban and Al Queda. September 3rd was the first attempt to kill Al Queda militants. However, Pakistan said the victims were civilians. A study showed that because of all the civilians being killed mistakingly, 4/5's of Pakistani people do not want American forces attacking al-Queda in their territory. Both President Bush and the Pakistani leader agreed to cooperate. However, Pakistans foreign minister had no idea about American forces' recent September 17th attack in Pakistan that killed some militants.
I think that this main focus on combatting terrorism has unfortuanately led to many more problems. This continuing violence in Pakistan just seems to be getting worse and worse. It's sad that we cannot live in a world free of so much war and violence.

Hopefully they will be able to come upon an agreement in order to decrease the fighting and the amount of deaths.

I agree. The article I did last week center around how many civilians are being killed and affected indirectly by the war. When a country goes to war many people do not realize that the actions of the countries at war have an affect on the people around the world.
