Twenty civilians died in a Pakistani Village on Wednesday. Three houses were targeted by US troops. Helicopters landed in the village of Jalal Khei and killed 15-20 people, including women and children, within thirty minutes. This unneccessary attack was the first clear assault by the US on Pakistan and could escalate the US operations inside Pakistan and expand the war with Afghanistan into the Pakistani territory. Although the White House and the Pentagon will not talk about this attack, some unnamed US officials have confirmed it and warned that there is more to come.
US officials claim that this area was known to be home of the Al Queda and Taliban, however they have no proof to support this. One villager, Jabbir Wazir, told the International News, "All of those killed were poor farmers and had nothing to do with the Taliban". This attack has outraged Pakistan as they said it was a violation of the territory, and they want an explanation from the US Ambassador. The International News reported that Pakistan used the dead bodies of their own civilians to block the road between Afghanistan and Pakistan, and chanted words against the US and NATO for coming onto their land for no reason and killing innocent people.
I think this attack was very unneccessary. The last thing we need is to wage another war because of claims that there may be Al Queda and Taliban in a certain area. The lives of innocent people are too important to put to an end for a suspscion that isn't supported by any evidence.

I completely agree. We are wanting to put an end to war, not give it flare. Killing 15-20 innocent people including children is really unnecessary. What makes me curious about the situation is why the U.S. attacked these people.
