Why Mexico’s Schools matter to Texas and the US

This Article talks about the origin of the issue of Mexican immigration. The author analyses the difference in educational attainment of Mexico’s population in relation to that of the United States. He says it is only natural for the population of Mexico and the lack of so many resources and opportunities to turn to one of the richest countries (its neighbor) in search of opportunities. Some of the factors playing part in problem with Mexico’s educational attainment is not the financial commitment but “other institutional and policy factors apparently are limiting educational performance “. He also mentions that the problem of immigration will never really be fixed until this education attainment gap (between countries) is narrowed.

As the author Miller, I believe that at this point the solutions “we” have found to the problem of Mexican immigration are only going to be temporary. A great example of this is the gap between the goals of the border wall project and it actual outcomes. It seems that this wall has only served the purpose of barely decreasing public opinion on this issue (specially towards the government). There are many people out there that actually believe that the wall is a rational and permanent solution to the issue but in my opinion it is actually just a wasted effort. Instead of focusing on the anti-immigrant sentiments and the number of immigrants currently living in the US we should be spending our time trying to figure out how to create reasons for the poor Mexican citizens to stay in their loved home country.

Well, this is true to for more than many reasons. The immigration issue has many broad aspects that would need to be addressed. However, education is truly an issue that needs to be addressed in their country. As long as infrastructure isn't set-up properly and monies are not evenly distributed then there will always be the lack there of. Then as long as corruption exists what will come of it. I do believe there needs to be somethings changed within their country for it to education for all could be attainable.
