Four suspects were accused of keeping children in a cage in a dirty trailer home. They were charged with felony child abuse, first degree false imprisonment and misdemeanor child abuse, the suspects were Bryson Eyten, Samantha Eyten, Ashly Clark, and Lacy Beyer. Police got an anonymous tip and did welfare check on the residence on Monday. The four children were removed from the home and placed in state custody, says police. Two young children, ages 5 and 3, were found in the metal kennel, which was secured by a wire tie, the cage reportedly had a mattress. The other two children, ages 8 years and 8 months, were not in the kennel but were considered to be in unsafe conditions.
The safety and wellbeing of children comes first in any type of case. Children are supposed to be loved and looked after, not treated like animals. A lot of children around the world are in abusive homes and or homes that are not fit for anyone to live in, especially children. It is typically harder for those types of situations for the children to be removed from the home because most kids will not tell on their parents, whether it is due to fear or they think that it is normal and that’s how all children are treated. Neither of the outcomes of this kind of situation is good for the child or children involved. If the parents or guardians of the child are not caught the child is stuck with the abuse of the parent. On the other hand, if the parents are caught, the child is now the state’s responsibility and is probably going to end up in a foster home.
