Chicken POX
Parents found out about a new route they could take to spread the chicken pox to their children who do not want to receive the vaccine but instead they thought of the unsettled decision to instead buy mail order lollipops already sucked on by kids with the virus for the hope that their child after receiving and fighting through it they build a tolerance in hope to develop a natural immunity preventing them from having it in the future when the symptoms become worse. CNN did a study on how there is a Facebook group that allows you to find a pox party in your area so parents can ship infected items across the country. No virus or disease should be able to be sent from one place to the other from not so reliable sources. Being able to contaminate an item and send it out to a random person thinks that will help the cause should not be legal or safe. This so called natural way of blocking out this certain disease by getting it once and building a resistance for it after is not the best way it could be change to improved ones health, instead it is possible for it to cause even more health risks. The sending of contaminated saliva could send out an even more wide variety of diseases along with it. The Vanderbilt university school of medicine claimed it was not a good way at all to transport the virus because it is usually spread by breathing it in which cant be stopped if unknown before entering an area of it. 6% of parents don’t vaccinate their kids leading to more dangers when getting it later in life and not one pediatrician would recommend this treatment.

This was an eye opener for sure. I did not know that there was a natural way of blocking out this certain disease. Although the chicken pox is common at a young age I don’t think going to the extremes of exposure is a way to build immunity. I would agree with Vanderbilt University, there needs to be another way for exposure where other diseases won’t be passed.
