Twenty-three people were killed by missles fired from an American aircraft on Monday in North Waziristan. This number includes 8 children, and at least 18 others were wounded. This compound was thought to be the home of one of Pakistans most prominent Taliban leaders. The compund the strike hit was run by the son of Jalaluddin Haqqani, whom the U.S. accused of running some of the most serious attacks in Afghanistan against American and NATO forces and being behind the attempted but failed assassination of Afghans president. However, neither Jalaluddin nor his son were present at this attack, only their family members. American officials claim the two Haqqani men provide protection to forces of Al Queda and act as a bridge between Afghan and Pakistan Taliban who both share a goal of getting American and NATO forces out of Afghanistan. This was the third attack since Wednesday on Taliban forces in Pakistan. The Pakistani president promised to work harder to win the fight against the Taliban. He is seen as pro-American and supports the campaign against terrorism.
I think this just shows that the US is getting more aggressive in seeking out Al Queda and Taliban forces. It seems like the war will just continue to expand, one country after another, and the targets will continue spreading. The US officials remain quiet about these attacks, and it makes it hard for people to know if US is doing the right thing without knowing the full details. Its sad that innocent people get killed because of having to hunt these few monstrous people in the world.

The U.S is defintely getting more aggressive and I think we need to act fast before more people continue to get hurt. I'm very upset that 8 innocent children were killed by these missles. I feel like the war is getting worst day by day and someone needs to put an end to it becasue innocent people are losing their lives.
