Problems with terrorism and the economy

According to the director of the National Intelligence the global economy and its turmoil has become more of a threat to the U.S. than terrorism. He said that when given an assessment the U.S. “underscored”. This has “long-term harm to America’s reputation.” He also states that we’re in a very bad crisis and it started in America and it has “increased questioning of U.S. stewardship and the global economy.” Tony Blair said that congress has not succeeded on focusing on the issues of terrorism and nuclear threats. Mr. Blair also states that “the economic downturn was the primary near-term security concern for our country and others.” They said that the longer it takes to get our economy on track the more damaging it will become. He said that countries like Pakistan and many others are having problems and have been badly hurt due to our economic downfall.
In my opinion I agree with Tony Blair in the fact that the longer it takes us to better our economy the more damage we will suffer. We need to find job openings here in the U.S. instead of exporting over-seas. If we continue to do this then we will suffer so much damage that our jobs will never be able to recover from the turmoil. Also it is sad that because of our mistakes other countries have to suffer. Pakistan and the others shouldn’t have to take some of the fall for our mistakes. With what the intelligence guy said our government should have been more concerned on the terrorist attacks and the nuclear threats but now we are faced with an even bigger problem. We need to get together and get the economy fixed as soon as possible before it’s too late!
