Chinese soldiers turn bad

A group of 2000 Chinese demobilized soldiers rioted last week at a training camp, due to poor living conditions. After the soldiers were demobilized they were sent to a twelve different railway schools for training. Demobilized soldiers are often rewarded by the government with jobs and these soldiers were in the process of receiving a railway job. The soldiers were upset about poor living conditions, overpriced bad food, and a lack of study materials. The dormitories were not equipped with electrical outlets and the soldiers were charged 75 cents just to charge their mobile phones. While the soldiers were rioting they smashed classrooms, overturned buses and set fires. Five people were arrested and twenty were injured before the police could stop the soldiers from rioting on September 3. A human rights group stated that the riots were spread over three cities and covered 775 mile of eastern China. These soldiers were the first to go against the normal communist regime.

People were injured and equipment was damaged all due to the fact that soldiers did not receive their rights. They had served for their country and when it was time to get something back they were refused that privilege. The soldiers felt as if they had been betrayed and they showed this by destroying the school property. The fact that the soldiers were so upset prevented the soldiers of finding a new way to handle the situation in a more civilized manner. If the Chinese government granted the soldiers with the basic human rights to a productive learning environment this destructive event never would have occurred.
