The current model for care of people with diabetes is not longer effective to today’s standards. Continuing today's approach could bring devastating consequences not only the United States healthcare system, but also emerging systems in developing countries, as diabetes is now the most significant public health problem worldwide. Diabetes is a group of metabolic diseases in which a person has high blood sugar, either because the body does not produce enough insulin, or because cells do not respond to the insulin that is produced. This leads to the patients having to inject insulin to break down the sugar when its body needs it to in digestion. The influential leaders working towards the cure to diabetes are currently working on all the individuals that are suffering with it making their life easier to live with it. The more people its affecting the more the rise of spirited individuals and organizations are working on crafting policies and programs to help out with the care. Due to an integrated system and there is a range of specialists that enables use and reimbursement of emerging technologies to better address patient needs. When trying to work towards better outcomes of suffering from the disease more minds come to together to get extra ideas into solving the bigger problem they are facing. When the public sees something like this as an increasing problem they are going to take a side and act on what they think should be done to help the people suffering for an overall better outcome if they were just to leave it as is and not take action on anything. Overall any problem that affects many of the public somebody is bound to impede on aiding to who is in need.
