Islands Emerge as Arctic Ice Shrinks to Record Lows

The climate is warming up at an increasingly fast pace all over the world. Environments that are supposed to be extremely cold such as Alesund, Norway, are discovering a real problem with the climate change. Glaciers are melting, causing many in the Norwegian area to question the issue of how bad the problem of global warming really is. Many in the region are wondering why the ice is melting at such an alarming rate. Islands are being discovered now in place of the ice. The whole phenomena is causing the seals and polar bear population to die out because of the decreasing food source. Many more species will also suffer as the result of the melting ice. Top researchers all over the world may have miscalculated the future of global warming and how quickly it’s progressing.
More than ever global warming and its effects are being seen. This is not a surprising phenomena as many countries all over the world emit harmful substances into the atmosphere. For Norway, an area that has always been known for its extremely cold climates to be seeing these dramatic changes, suggests the immediate nature of this environmental dilemma. The various ideas regarding how to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases are at the heart of possible solutions. Unless we all make adjustments and sacrifice various harmful daily habits, the planet will suffer from global warming. This growing problem can slowly begin to decrease, with effort on our parts to reduce the harm we have caused. Global warming did not happen over night and the problems and solutions will take time and a lot of effort.
