Heating up the Sea's

As we all know, Global Warming is an increasing environmental problem. But, for Europe it is an ever present current event. Europeans are already seeing the effects that the climate change can have. Their bodies of water are constantly increasing 1 degree ever decade. It is unclear to scientists why this specific region is being affected more than any other. The main body of water that worries them is the Mediterranean Sea. This body of water is usually salty but with the increasing temperature its salt concentration is rising because of evaporation. The more salt in the Mediterranean would cause a change in the flow of the water. It would go into the Atlantic Ocean rather than the Atlantic water flowing in to the Mediterranean. The warmer waters also pose a double threat. Algae that live in the waters that help absorb Carbon Dioxide are starting to die from the warm waters. Without this the CO2 that they would normally absorb and make into oxygen for us to breath is still in the environment which also makes the climbing temperatures worse.

I felt like this was a good article to help people to realize that global warming isn’t a worry that is far off it is happening right now and the effects of it are visible right now. It also shows that increasing the warming is like a double edged sword that just makes it worse by destroying some of the life forms that help to maintain the air.
