More die in an Israeli Missile Strike

Last week, the death toll reached eleven when Israeli forces killed two militants in a missile strike on Thursday. Israel is targeting the people that were involved in the rockets fires on the border towns in Israel. Last Wednesday, a missile strike from the Israelis targeted a jeep that carried members of the Army of Islam. Five of these passengers were killed.
In Northern Gaza, tanks and bulldozers went into Beit Hanoun after rockets were fired. A tank fires a shell in the direction of a group of people that were standing in between two houses. This ended up killing four and wounding twenty-five people. David Baker, who is an Israeli government spokesman, claims that these strikes are “a continuous policy of preventing terrorist activity against civilians.”
The conflict between Gaza and Israel is a constant battle. The head of the Hamas government in Gaza says that the operations from Israel are strengthening the Gaza resolve.
Once again last week, the Israeli military enforced the closure of the West Bank and Gaza Strip for the week long Jewish holiday, Sukkot. Bans on travel in these Palestinian areas are closed, especially during the Jewish holidays. When the holidays are over, these restrictions are eased, but are never fully lifted.
I think that the rocket fires and missile strikes will continue for a long time. I stand for Israel and hope that one day there will be peace between the Israelis and Palestinians. I also believe that it is a wonderful idea that Israel bans travel in the Palestinian areas during the Jewish holidays. Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot are just a few of the holiest days of the year in the Jewish religion. However, I would hope that the Palestinians would have respect to not try to attack the state of Israel during them.
