On September 22, Saturday a bomb explodes killing many women and children who wait in a line to receive cooking fuel from a tanker truck. Victims were burned to death, and included dozen of women and girls. Police say the bomb was hidden in a barrel, or in a car parked near the tanker. But one man said that “one woman pretended she had shown up to receive kerosene but instead carried a bomb hidden inside an empty fuel can”. The bomb was apparently detonated by remote control after the woman left. Mohammad said, “Bodies were burned everywhere. I saw seven bodies of small boys. They are just boys! They did nothing. Why do they attack us?” In another place, four US soldiers are killed, one after his vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb, two after a roadside bomb exploded near his patrol, and the other after a rocket attack. US troops have captured 215 death squad members and killed 25 of them. There are still 23 militants in Iraq, they added. They just now have to wait to see how the government deals with these people.
These stories are so sad; I just don’t see how people can kill like these people do. Something needs to be done to stop the attacks. Why the women and children? They are innocent, they did nothing wrong. It’s like these people have no heart and they are just out to kill the most people they can, it’s ridiculous.
