Global warming, it's a major problem. Many people think that global warming is a slow process that eventually only hurts the ozone layer and Antarctica but not them. This article makes people realize that the warming of the weather does affect them. The rising temperatures will cause a drought in many cities of southern Spain because of the lack of rain and the temperatures will be so high that tourist will not want to visit these places. So it affects people if nothing else in their tourist attractions vacations. Many tourist attractions such as the Eastern Alps and the Great Barrier Reef are in danger of the rising temperatures. The Alps will eventually acquire less snow, this would make it difficult to ski on and the Great Barrier Reef would start to lose its colorful coral because the sun and high temperatures would be bleaching them. Also low level islands or any land that isn’t far above sea level also faces extinction with the rising water levels because for the glaciers melting.
I thought that this article proposed a valid argument that will reach people. It is more than global warming causes the temperature to increase. It hurts people where they hate it the most, in the free time and vacation time. If these times begin to get destroyed because of the rising temperatures and it starts to effect the population more directly then maybe there will be a change in how people do things.
