Myanmar Monk Tells Story of Killings

This article is about a monk, U Awbata, speaking of the terrors that these monks have had to endure. He says, "It doesn't matter how many tears I shed, I cannot erase these images from my mind."
They took the streets of Myanmar in the biggest anti-government rallies in two decades, with tens of thousands turning out.
U Awbata was speaking in Indonesia 's capital, Jakarta , at a three-day gathering bringing together activists, Myanmar exiles, and embassy officials seeking ways to increase the role of Southeast Asian countries in improving human rights in Myanmar .
These monks are peaceful protestors but are being thrown into jails and killed by the junta military. They are fighting for freedom form the junta military and a democracy.
