More violent conflict between the Palestinians and the Israelis. Israeli aggression lead to Palestinians halting peace talks after a two day outburst in GAZA. 70 people are dead after only two days. This is the highest death rate from fighting between the two powers in the past year. Ten Palestinians, including an officer and a young girl, were killed on sunday from Israeli ground and air attacks. Prior to these deaths, Palestinians in Gaza sent as few as 25 rockets into Israel. These rockets were targeted for civilian centers classifying their efforts as terrorism. In reaction Israelis agressively went to Gaza on a killing mission. Palestinians argue that they will not resume peace talks until the agressive efforst stop and that guns and bullets will not bring peace, but Israel replies they will not stop because of attacks on the Israeli people. And ofcourse George Bush hopes to aid in a peace agreement by the end of his term next January.
The hatred is to strong, and efforts are resulting in an eye for an eye retaliation. This will not bring preace, if peace is at all possible. It seems the Palestinians are trying to be powerful, but then get defensive when violent efforts come back onto them. But it is interesting to see the difference in people between the two, Palestinian civilians have a hands on approach to the efforts as they protest and fill the streets, but the Israelis let their forces handle the peace talks. Israelis do not seem like they care as much about peace as they do about keeping the Palestinians inferior. And why is it that any event around the world has to be handled by Bush? This war may not be able to end between the two on their own, but it seems like Bush has his hand in a bunch of things, with little affect, instead of focusing on one of two tasks with great affect. He must be trying to save the world, instead of helping his country.
