11 former Guantanamo Bay inmates on Saudi wanted list

Saudi Arabia announced Wednesday that eleven men that were released from the United States prison at Guantanamo Bay are now on the most wanted list. These men have been placed on the list even after attending the controversial extremist rehabilitation program. The Guantanamo Bay prison is set to be closed after an the signing of an executive order from President Barack Obama. This leaves many leaders and countries scrambling trying to decide where to place the detainees. This program and prison are being shut down despite the advise of Arabia and terror experts. The experts stated that the program was largely effective.
Saudi Arabia has started a campaign against the militants and terror suspects. They also agree and try to rehabilitate the militants because they believe that some can abandon their violent extremist beliefs and return to a normal society. Saudi Arabia was the birthplace of Osama bin Laden and was home to fifteen of the nineteen September 11th hijackers.
The main reason Guantanamo Bay and other prisons like it are being closed is because of the rehabilitation programs. Only 13 of the 133 Saudis that were detained still remain in prison.

I think this is a huge mistake in all ways to close and release the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base. The only reason this institution is being closed is for its bad publicity. This was a well running and functional facility that was used to detain and gather information from top terror suspects. The people that were captured and held there were captured for a reason and should not be released. Many of these suspects have went back to top terrorist positions soon after being released. The government has proof of this transformation and still they are releasing the prisoners. Millions of dollars of the taxpayers money were used to just build the prison and now it is being thrown away.

I understand why Obama decided to close down Guantanamo Bay. I didn't see anywhere in the article that these were the prisoners that were released when this went to affect. I believe that it was prior to. People can be fooled and they can show change and then go back to their old ways. In one of my classes I guy was talking about how he captured a guy that was sent to Guantanamo Bay and then released and he ran into him a second time and sent him back again
