Oakland Man Charged in Crime Spree

Antjuan Cox is a 38-year-old ex-convict. He served his time in prison for carjacking. It seems like he wasn’t done just yet. Recently in Oakland, California, Cox went on a crime spree and now faces over a dozen felonies. He is charged for several robberies, a pistol-whipping, and attempted murder. He is the suspect for robbing a female acquaintance for money to buy drugs, and holding up a convenience store and insurance office. During his insurance office robbery, Cox beat a 61-year-old man with his gun. Cox has also been charged with stabbing his girlfriend while she slept just two days before Christmas. So far Cox has confessed to his crimes—all except for the attack on his girlfriend.
Did this guy not learn his lesson the first time he was sent to jail? He was either bored or he is just plain stupid. After about the few first times, did the idea of him getting caught even pass through his thick skull? I think that is was ridiculous for him to pistol-whip an old man. What is even more ridiculous is his refusal to admit that he stabbed his girlfriend. I am pretty sure there was no one else in that house that night. He shows the violent tendencies (obviously). In not admitting that he attacked his sleeping girlfriend, was he trying to make her less mad at him? Not only did he stab her—and I am sure she knew it because being stabbed should wake you up—but he went on a crime escapade throughout the town of Oakland. How could she not be mad?!? I hope they keep him in prison.

I don't believe that when a person gets out of prison more than likely they will go back because my cousin was in prison and now he's 10 times better than when he went in. Everyone can change but, it seems to me that this man did not want to change. It seems as if he has something wrong with him. Maybe he needs to be checked out or examined? But this man should be charged for the crimes he commited even more so because he admitted to them.

I know people make mistakes and sometimes people change but I feel when people do things to that extent repeated times there has to be something mentally wrong with them. After so many chances I feel that they should just stay in jail or even worse for that matter. Why have people like that out in the society?? It just blows my mind how people act sometimes.
