The number of women and young girls involved in commercial exploitation in Bangladesh and surrounding countries are growing every day. The article states 3,000 women and children end up in the sex trade DAILY!!! The article also states the female victims of this crime suffer physically as well as psychologically. After a year in the sex trade, most of these women and young girls believed their families would suffer a great deal of disrespect and social taboo if they returned home. There is an estimated 500,000 foreign prostitutes in India, but there is no doubt that these sexual services are all over the world. HIV and AIDS are of greater risks in these sex brothels and sex houses because these women and girls have no say so in whether condoms will be used. The article also states the living arrangements and the conditions these women lived in were like prisons.
I understand things are not as easy in other countries as they may be in the United States, but to resort to selling the women of your country is pretty low. These women are mothers and sisters, but what about the young girls who won’t have a chance to become mothers or even healthy teenagers! I understand money is the factor that moves these people involved in the sex trade, but what happens when there are no more women to traffic? What happens when the diseases that these women and men are passing along start to hinder reproduction? Well, maybe I shouldn’t say start hindering because it already has. Do these men not care about the well-being of their sisters, mothers, daughters, or even their lives? Yes money is very important to everyone especially in these times, but when will people start to think about humanity?

I was reading this article with my my jaw dropped to the floor. This is absolutely appalling! I agree with you and I understand the importance of money, but this is going too far... way too far. That is absolutely disgusting and it amazes me how low some people will stoop just for a few extra bucks. My heart goes out to all of the girls and females who have to go through that.
I was amazed after reading this article. No matter how poor a country is selling and degrading their women for their country is not only degrading to the women and their families, but makes the country look horrible as well. I think that it is absolutely ridiculous what some people will do or go through for money these days.
