Human Rights: Afgan Hospitals for Children

Unfortunately the children and families of Afghanistan are not getting good medical help from hospitals there. Not only are the children not comfortable in the beds that they are lying in when they are seriously sick or when they have broken bones but also, these hospitals are not providing medicine for the sick children. Everywhere you look there are parents of the children holding bags that contain bring-your-own medicine and supplies. This hospital is not getting enough funds, it's monthly budget is less than $1200 dollars a month. That is a sad number, how can that possibly take care of all the sick children and medical expenses? They depend so much on the parents to buy the medicines and supplies that their children need, and even then they sometimes do not have enough money to buy all the surgical supplies that they need to operate on all their patients. It's so bad that parents are using their entire income of a weeks worth to help their children for medicine but even then, sometimes the medicine does not work.

To me I can't believe this is happening. Yes, I understand that not all countries have money like America or other countries but, how are we letting this happen? No matter where they are living they should have all the medical supplies they need to care for their patients. It is so sad to hear that parents are using all the money they have to help them and then it is not working. They are trying their best but something needs to happen so that children can get better and so that the hospitals are getting more funds to help make that happen! Everyone deserves to get the best help they can, they deserve to have treatment if that is what will help the problem.
