Things in Afghanistan have always been a problem and it seems that the more we try to help women's rights there it just is not working. More and more reports are being filled due to the fact that more when are being raped, which they call "honor killing" everyday. The way that women were able to stay safe was with the security but now days the security in Afghanistan is becoming worse and worse and the US are not able to help as much as they use to. Chlidren as young as the age of seven are being raped everyday and there really is not much going on to help them. The number of women that are being raped is growing up the meter more and more everyday in numerous amounts, especially the children in the age range from seven up to nine. Another problem that women are facing is marriage at such an early age. It is said that they will get married and have children then usually the women run away because they can not deal with the abuse any more.
I personally do not like hearing stories such as these. It breaks my heart to know that women and children are facing such abuse. I wish that we could help more than we are and that this could all stop and be over with. Women and children all over have the right to have their own rights I think but yet they do not. I do not think that this is right at ALL! Women have a voice and I believe that it has a right to be heard. Women and children in Afghanistan do not need this abuse they did nothing to deserve the way that they are being treated everyday, especially children as young as seven, they are innocent. When are we going to be able to stop this?! I hope that it is sometime in the near future and that these women and children come someday live their lives the way that they want to, and that the finally have a voice that has been heard.

Sadly enough it would seem that like American only a few decades ago, much of the world still have underdeveloped concepts of the female role in society. Like in Afghanistan women face many hardships, but with it being such an integrated part of the society it's doubtful we can do anything to stop it short of full intervention which would only lead to more trouble. The only really solution is probably the education and understanding of the next generation, but protecting them seems to become even harder than I'd known and to me that's the sadist part of all.
