With the economy drowning so terrible, I do not think a lot of people realize how bad it really is. At the rate we are going right now by 2019 the country will be going bankrupt. Doesn’t it seem like some people need to change something. Obama predicts that a deficit of $1.2 trillion for 2010 while CBO puts next years gap in money to $1.4 to 1.8 trillion.
Obama is wanting to cut middle-class taxes and overhaul health care and expand access to college all across the country. But how are we supposed to do that right now when our economy is just drowning and keep going into debt. I think right now we need to look on the fact that we need to help out economy and get us out of such debt and then focus on the other things like taxes, health care, and college access. If people keep focusing on just those things though, we are going to look into a world of hurt for our country.

How can we get out of debt without the human capital of education and personal health in our country. We need these basic needs met in order to compete in any global market. The goal is to tax the rich more to counter-balance this. Redistribution. Our people need help, the rich don't. We will be in less debt when his term is over, I'm thinking, then we were with bush. Actually, I know this to be true. Bush is the one who did this.
Plus, my comment transformed your blog from a domestic, to a global issue. Since we are writing about global issues; you're welcome.
I totally agree with you Cory we need to watch our spending and not only the United States but the world needs to realize. Being that a majority of the World rely on America to purchase their goods, travel, and other income for their countries our debt is a global issue. I think that the government is doing the best they can do considering who knows what America really needs due to all of the issues that are surrounding the economy today.
