Ethnic Clashes Hit Southern Sudan

Over 170 people were killed in ethnic clashes in Southern Sudan, this week. This attack is only the latest of the back and forth violence that the Jonglei state is facing. UN peacekeepers are investigating the incident and one U.N. official says that they are considering bringing in more people to boost its forces in the area. Twelve maybe more, villages were burnt to the ground and thousands of people were displaced by the violence. This attack was in response to the earlier Murle raids that was responsible for 450-750 deaths.

These attacks are becoming more and more dangerous and something needs to be done immediately before things get even worse than they already are. The U.N should defiantly bring in more help to put a halt to these attacks.

I completely agree. This should be handled very quickly and taken very seriously. This should be a top priority in everyone's book.
