A recent list was developed by the United States Department of Labor that listed all the products produced by child or labored force in foreign countries. It was determined that India hbad the biggest amount of products, that included soccer balls and clothing, made by these types of workers. The purpose of the study was meant to possibly trigger more people to know this kind of thing is happening and maybe someone will do something about it. The top countries that were also using a mass number of child or labored force, along with India, included Bangladesh, China, Brazil and the Philippines. Some of the products made in different countries, by child of labored force, include, coffee, different types of agriculture, and minig things such as gold.
I believe that this article is pretty well on the right track to try and change some of the problems that go along with child and forced labor. I take it that these different countries do not to hide their usage of the children as workers, and if they do, then the countries are not trying to hide the fact that they do have these kinds of workers doing labor for them. The most important part for me is the reason for the study itself. I do not believe in this type of labor, even though I do not speak out against it, or for that matter, I am not even sure if I buy some of the products that are made by these types of workers. What I do know is that it is wrong and everyone should start thinking about this global issue more than they do.
Yes, this type of of work does yield a high number of products, however, is it really worth getting something so cheap if some small child, or person who did not want to make it, had to produce the product, or maybe even die over it?

I love that you were so honest in your post when you said that you have probably even bought things made by those involved in child labor. I am with you in this, I have not spoke out against it in the past, and have even somewhat participated in it, however, I do feel that we really need to step up and protest against this awful problem that is taking place so often in our world.
I agree with you about forced child labor. I believe that child labor is wrong. Like you said I do not even know if I buy some of the product inwhich the children make. I feel that children who are being forced to work instead of going to school or playing with children their age, may lack in the developmental stages. I counldn't imagine what it would be like for me to be a child again and haveing to work at such a young age.
I also agree. Child labor is wrong no matter how you put it. It doesn't matter if is cheap and efficient. It's just one step up from slavery and I think we can all agree, that that is not a good thing. Children belong in school, so that they can learn, grow up, and make something of their lives. I wonder how these countries expect to keep becoming bigger and better if the youth are not being educated. After all the older generation is going to die out someday.
