Parents 'dumped body in concrete'

Last month in Europe an 8 year old girl by the name of Marina Sabatier was reported missing. Last Friday her body was found in concrete, and today the parents are saying she was kidnapped. The young girl was found in Le Mans (south-west of Paris) at her fathers’ job. Prosecutors have begun an investigation against both of the parents. Both parents are suspected of manslaughter, violence towards a minor and wasting police time. The father told the police while he and Marina were at McDonald's she was taken from the car, while he was inside. When her body was found (Friday), the parents confessed to mistreating their daughter, who has Downs-Syndrome. But they explained they didn’t kill her and that she had died of natural causes. Investigators were told that the parents had found her body in their basement in August. When they found the body, they hid it in a freezer, which they kept there until it was able to be transported somewhere else. The father later took the body to his job, placed it in a container and filled it with concrete. The couple was scared of the questions that the school authorities would ask, so they made up the story of her being kidnapped. Marina has four siblings, which were taken away from the parents and placed in social services. If the parents are convicted they could face life in prison.

This story is really sad and the death of this young girl is unfortunate. For one, the parents need to get their story together. Their explanations are all over the place, which makes it seem like a lie. Furthermore, if the parents weren’t able to properly take care of their special needs child; why not give her up for adoption or ask for help? Why mistreat her? This child had no control over having Downs-Syndrome; therefore, she shouldn’t be mistreated because of it. I always wondered what a child could possibly do where the parent feels the need to mistreat them or even kill them. I still don’t have an answer, and probably never will. In my opinion I think the parents are lying about the whole situation. If she died of natural causes, why not just call the cops once the body was found…a whole month ago. Instead they cover it up by putting her in concrete, which makes them look guilty. If both parents are convicted, I hope they’re placed in jail for the rest of their life; for taking the life of an innocent child.

This is unbelievable! I personally think there is no way that they are NOT responsible. Especially with the little girl being handicapped that way, its way too suspicious for me. Not to mention DISTURBING. I'm glad to hear the authorities took fairly immediate action and removed the other children from their parental care. Hopefully they will be prosecuted and punished accordingly.
