This video is highlighting a man who seen as hero of the Congo. His name is Dr. Denis Mukwege. He is the chef surgeon at Banzi hospital, dedicating his life to help helping rape victims. He has helped thousands of rape victims. He not only helps them physically but he tries to help them mentally and emotionally as well. He tries to tell them that they are not destroyed. These women have been raped so bad they have obtained a condition where they have uncontrollable lost of urine and fecal matter in the uterus. This ostracizes them from their own people because no one wants to be around them. Dr. Denis Mukwege has to do 10 surgeries a day sometimes there are is no water or electricity. The worst part about this is the fact that these rape victims have to stay awake through the surgery. The video believes that 100,000s of women in the Congo have been sexually assaulted. The cause is because of the wars and conflict in Congo.

I chose to this video because when I saw the video about rape in the Congo I was touch deeply. I cried for half the film. Feel like this message needs to been heard about and seen. I honestly believe that people need to step in clean out these murders who are harming these women. I believe that the women of the Congo need more education so that made they can move out of their situation to places that are safer. This is horrible. I am so glad they highlighted this doctor because he works under the worst conditions and still feel that his cause is important. He is a man who
truly should be called doctor.
