This article is about how
Germany has an apprenticeship program. Because so many youths are jobless throughout the world, and the number is still growing, Germany has made this program that allows young adults to learn a trade, instead of having to finish school, to get a job. Some go to school part-time and learn the trade part-time, others just learn the trade full-time along with going to a
vocational school to learn about their particular trade. Most join the program when they are around the age of fifteen and usually start working in their area of trade when they are around nineteen. The only problem with the program is that the unemployment rates of people under twenty-five is still probably going to drop and it is not known how the country will deal with the losing of apprentices.
I think that this is a great idea. I like the fact that a job is almost guaranteed when it comes to apprenticeships, where as just graduating from high school or college is not a guarantee of any job offerings. I wish that the U.S. would have some sort of program like this one. I am sure that is we did that unemployment rates would be higher and on the rise for the future.
