The article that I read is about women trafficking. A forty four year old man and his fifty five year old girl friend were taken into custody during a raid at an apartment in Kula Lumpar. Hadi Ho Abdullah was they man who broke the story. Hadi Ho Abdullah is a deputy director of the federal police crime investigation department. The suspects allegedly promised their victims profitable jobs in different countries. The victims were usually female and in their twenties. Instead of going abroad to fancy jobs, they were sold as sex workers. The suspects made a very big profit from the women trafficking that they did. They were operating for a least a year and made over one million ringgit for their work. When their apartment was raided, there were eight local women as well as a Chinese woman. The government has not yet given the suspects their sentence because the investigation is still going on.
Over the past weeks I have read many articles about women being raped and physically harmed. Yet, I think selling women for sex without their knowledge is very bad. These women thought that they would be able to live a much better life and be able to afford a house, food, and shelter, but instead the women were sold to people for sex. Women need to take more precaution when they are promised a job or they are told to go to an apartment where they are imprisoned and soon sold for sex and beaten.

I think the word needs to get out all around the world that women are being used like this. They need to outline how they are being used and tricked and they need to start taking precautions to help themselves. You know, if a woman has to pass up a real opportunity because of suspicion that it is not legit, then I say "better safe than sorry." If these suceptable women could be cautioned at a higher level and frequency rate then this would definitely slow the rate at which women who get tricked at first, instead of being abducted, get involved in this. It is hard to stop this from happening when you talk about finding the people behind this, but it could be, maybe, helped if we attacked from the other end. Education about this ongoing situation to women worldwide would, I think, would help these women at a better rate then trying to save them once they are taken.
