This article was about how the Olympic committee decided that Rio de Janeiro, Brazil would be the city to host the Olympic games in the year 2016. The article was basically about the public's reaction when hearing that their city was chosen. The Brazilian president said "it brought tears to his eyes" and that "Our hour has arrived" speaking of Brazil. This means they feel like they are finally getting a chance on the world scene. The article went on to talking about how they would prepare for the games and are starting already which is weird because it's 7 years away.
My reaction to this is good for Brazil. It's good for them because loads of money will be poured into their economy and their country will get loads of publicity and people to visit. It's a country's dream I think because it's an honor that the committe chose your country over all the other in the world. This relates to trade/economy because the olympics will be really good for Brazil's economy, bringing in a lot of money and visitor's to spend their money. That would be the case for any country who gets to host the olympics.
