The Israeli military has recently killed Lyad Shilbayeh, a member of Hamas. Hamas is a Palestinian Islamist fundamentalist organization that is also looked to be a terrorist organization. Shilbayeh was killed in the West Bank of Jerusalem. The Israeli military are saying that were in the process of locating Shilbayeh in relations to recent terrorist acts. Shilbayeh was walking toward the military with is hands covered behind his back. The military are claiming that they thought he might have had some type of weapon in his hands behind his back. Without much hesitation the Israeli military set fire against Shilbayeh and shot him to death. At this point there is no clear answer to whether or not Shilbayeh was in deed carrying any type of weapon. The Israeli’s and the Hamas have been fighting against each other a lot in constant battle. The Hamas are killing Israelis in attacks, while the Israeli military and powers are trying to prevent these attacks.
War is something is has always gone on, and will always go on throughout the world. Nations are fighting against other nations; and nations are fighting within themselves. Why are these attacks continuing to happen and harm innocent citizens? The Hamas have attacked members of Israeli; but does it help the situation if the Israeli’s do the same? I understand that they want to protect their country and their people, but I truly believe in mediation and non-violence. The Israeli military had no right to attack Shilbayeh without clear confirmation of his intentions the night they shot him to death. Although he maybe part of a terrorist organization he still is a human being, and deserves to get the same chance as everyone else. http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/meast/09/17/israel.hamas.killed/index.html
