Islamist insurgents "al-Shabab" made another attack in Somalia on September 9, 2010. The suicidal bombings took place at the Somalia airport just 40 minutes after Somalia's president depart on a plane. A car and a truck where materials used by al-Shabab during this attack. The first car blew itself up at the entrance of the airports terminal. Which gave an opening for the truck to transport more al-Shabab attackers to enter the terminal and release their explosive vests; killing themselves and nine other people. Five attacks of al-Shabab were also said to be killed. The al-Shabab attackers have recently been bombing at a lot of Muslim events and religious functions. This extremely violent phase is a result of control and power. Al-Shabab feels the African Union and government are weak and have no control.
This war is battle of the Somalia people against the Somalia people (al-Shabab). How does a country let a group of it's own citizen's cause violence and murder other citizens. I wonder if these groups will ever take a step back and anaylze what they are doing to their own society. The government should put their foot down and fight for the respect and power that they should have. Al-Shabab will continue to threaten Somalia through violence and murder until they receive what they want; or until someone stops them.
