Authorities in Pakistan have reported a second attack on a mosque in the country’s northwest region. This attack followed an attack that happened earlier at a different mosque that was believed to be targeted anti-Taliban members. Both attacks took place in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and took place during Friday prayers by suicide bombers. The first attack killed sixty seven people and left more than eighty people wounded there were also reports that four hand grenades were also thrown into the mosque as well. The second attack left four people dead and injured another eighteen people. The Pakistani police said that the Taliban was targeting a group known as a peace committee in the area. It was also reported that a local Taliban leader Tariq Afridi stated in a phone call that the Taliban had warned members of the peace committee through letters and phone calls not to cooperate with the Pakistani military and to dismantle the committee. He also stated that when they refused to dismantle they had to face the consequences.
This article didn’t really go into detail about the investigation of the attacks but I think that they police should have a plan as to how they are going go about investigating. Attacks like these are meant to frighten those who oppose what the terrorist stand for. That’s is why the police need to try and do everything they can to reassure the public that they are going to do everything they can to stop the terrorist.

I agree that more can be done about these attacks. There could be increased security of religious buildings when the holy day comes around. People should not be persecuted DURING the practice of their religion if at all.
