This article on SIFY website, discusses the rise in numbers of Chinese women becoming victims of human trafficking. According to this article, Chinese women are being tricked into thinking they have a job over seas when in actuality the trafficker is going to force them into prostitution. Women who are being trafficked also face the possibility of being forced into marriage. Chen Shiqu, director of the anti-human trafficking office under the ministry of public security has developed different strategies along the borders such Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos in effort to prevent traffickers from crossing borders. In their effort, Chinese police have successfully rescued 17,746 victims and solved 9,165 since April of 2009. Dai Peng, head of the investigation department of the Chinese People's Public Security University, discussed how China faces the problem of not having enough resources and manpower to fight internationally.

Since women are being trafficked to various countries such as; Southeast Asia, Europe and Africa, China sought elsewhere for international support. Those supporters include Russia, Britain, Australia and Malaysia. United, hopefully these countries can extinguish this gruesome crime.
Its an awful thought to think how many innocent women are being tricked into become victims. I was actually born in Calcutta, India which I know has a high level of prostitution and multiple types of human trafficking. It breaks my heart when I hear about the victims in other countries. It is so important to spread awareness throughout the globe so the appropriate measures can be taken. Hopefully the increase in awareness will help lower the amount of victims, but also sentence traffickers the degree of punishment they deserve.  http://www.sify.com/news/rise-in-trafficking-of-chinese-women-news-international-lbyoaffdbhc.html

I think the main problem is women not having the knowledge and warning that trafficking can happen ANYWHERE and see the warnings of what can potentially be someone trying to traffic you. Unfortunately, a lot of women are taken forcefully, but there are many teenagers who are persuaded that it is a job opportunity or what not, and that can be put to a stop if they only knew the signs to look for.
