According to Karl Ritter, an environmental problem that can be seen all over the world is the destruction of Coral Reefs. Now some might not know how important Coral Reefs really are to the world. Coral Reefs help protect shores from impacts of waves that come from big storms as well as can be used for food and medicine. They can also be seen as jungles underwater because they are the home to over 25% of the marine life. Unfortunately many reefs are being damaged by water pollution and humans overfishing. There are some fish that the coral need to help them survive because they help clean the coral, and unfortunately those fish as well as many others are being over fished. Humans have also been dumping waste and fertilizers in the oceans that are polluting the water and killing the Coral Reefs.
The unfortunate part about this is that we have come to a point where we probably cannot turn around and fix it. Humans have caused way too much damage already to them. The best thing we can do is save as many as we can. The only way we can do that is to inform the public of what is happening and maybe find a way to open a reservoir for Coral Reefs and the fish. It would take a lot to get fisherman to stop overfishing considering how much in demand fish are, but I am sure there can be a law made to regulate the amount of fish caught, especially the ones that are important to the maintenance of the ocean.
