I
n Northern Italy six men have been arrested for aiming to incite discrimination and hatred towards the Pope. Five of the men were placed under house arrest and the sixth man was taken into custody. A note was found that the group created condemning the Pope for converting and baptizing a Journalist who was a former Muslim. The group has called for punishment and violence against the Pope because of recent conversion. The six men were attempting to create a group of Muslims whose aim is to incite discrimination, racial and religious hatred, violence and jihad against Christians and Jews.
The note found by police also "urges Muslim immigrants not to integrate into Italian society, Italian media report."
The group has claimed that their intentions were to try and incite religious hatred and thus creating more of an already existing religious division.
However the baptism of the journalist/scholar actually occurred 3 years ago, in 2008. So It makes me wonder why is all of this coming out now? Now the scholar has come out and publicly denounced the Islamic faith as well as Mohammed. However this only occurred 3 years ago. So has this planning been going on since then? I think this is a very interesting article nonetheless. Because I normally read articles on google news saying how Christians and Jews are being prosecuted and discriminated against by Islamic extremists.
It truly is hard for to fathom the irate and intensity of the accused. Why are they so angry about ONE person who willing wanted to convert from Islam to Christianity? He was not forced to, he wanted to do it. Also why is that they are trying to hurt just regular noncombatant folk (i.e normal Christian people). What have they done to deserve this. And lastly why the Jews? I cannot see where the fit in, in this particular situation. The whole thing is so bizarre Is it really that hard for people to get along? Is that just human nature telling us that it is utterly impossible for us as human beings to coexist. Regardless of your personal view of religion you should still have the common decency to respect others view. Just as you would want them to do the same to you. You don't have to understand the other person's view, but you should still respect them.
