Pollution has reached all the subtropical Oceans. There is plastic now in the subtropical Oceans. The group that has been keeping an eye on the five subtropical gyres is the 5 Gyres project. They say that it’s not like a big pile of plastic in the ocean; they say it is more of a soup of plastic in the ocean, saying that it is just small partials of plastic floating around. Not visible to the eye, only if you go out and take samples from the ocean. Some of the items that are out in the ocean are plastic film, fishing nets and pellets. These things are Hundreds of miles off the coast. The up side of this is that the south pacific has the lowest level of plastic. So that means we as a people could try to put a stop to this why it is manageable. Also the countries that surround the south pacific are under developed countries. So as they develop we can see how we affect the earth from a point that most countries have pasted, which is a very scary thing. The other gyres by the U.S. are filled with plastic, which hurts a lot of our wildlife. That mean it hurts our food source as well. But now the said part is that there is no place on earth not touched my plastic. It’s very scary to hear these things. Some people take it little because they say they aren’t going to be here when the world get to a point of no return, but what about your children’s futures.
