32 prisoners escape in three almost simultaneous leaks in Mexico:

In Veracruz, Mexico, within an hour and a half, at least 32 prisoners escaped from three different prisons, simultaneously. since their escape, 14 inmates have been found and placed back in jail. Fifteen of these criminals were under federal charges, while the remaining 17 are under regular charges. It is assumed that the prisoners escaped by threatening prison custodians with weapons. Mexican prisons are known for having high security problems with being overpopulated by 25% and frequent incidents where prisoners are harmed or murdered. A gang, Los Zetas, are being considered as an accomplice to these crimes, as well as other crimes extending across the south border including, drug crime, extortion of business, kidnapping migrants, and theft of fuel.

This is very scary and unfortunate for the citizens of Veracruz, Mexico. To know that at least 32 prisoners have escaped from three different prisons within a short amount of time really questions the level of security for the people. Also, to know that 32 is an approximate number and all of the inmates are not accounted for rises a concern of increased crime and danger for citizens. Prison authorities should be lest trusting of inmates, yes they are people but at the same time they are in jail for a reason. With the reputation of Mexican prisons and prisoners, prison authorities should work twice as hard to ensure that the citizens are secured and are out of harms way by making keeping everything inside the prisons on one accord. This would be easy in a perfect world, but it is not impossible.
