Women in Saudi Arabia are being allowed to vote and run in an election starting in 2015. The king came to this decision by the attention the country was receiving from outside sources as well as women in the country because of their lack of support for women. He wants to increase women’s support in their country. Many women like this progress in their society but know and hope that there is more advancement for them to come. Another issue that came up was on King Abdullah’s decision to allow women to vote and that came from those people who believe women should not be included in government matters because of religious reasons.
Women’s rights are a social problem in many countries that lack support for women. Women’s rights are a movement that is gaining more attention as they continue to progress and make success across the world. There are women in many countries that do not have a say in any matter of their lives, so this is a step up for these women to live a life with all the rights as any other person but they want more to come from this. This situation is allowing women to gain the freedom they rightfully deserve. Women’s voting in Saudi Arabia is a push in the right direction but it has not reached the point where it has been successfully accomplished yet: That progress and advancement for this goal can only come when women are being included in governmental roles. As for other places around the world, where women are denied many rights they can start by getting their issues out there to people from within countries going through the same issues and other countries which in turn will hopefully give them the attention they need to see. The result of these actions being effective change in their countries that incorporates them.

This was a interesting article and shows just how far women's rights have come worldwide. It is great that women will have the right to vote, as well as run for a position starting in 2015. And although women's rights are growing on a global scale, many countries still do not recognize them and this is a problem that needs to be addressed.
