Byron Martin: Insurgents Kidnap Doctors

These insurgent groups are all over the world and less organized than ever. The people this group kidnapped were from, Doctors Without Borders, a group there to help the people that these terrorists are hurting on a day to day basis. These doctors normally had security with them but on this day they did not, this seems a little sketchy. State terrorism has become a major global issue because there is no one head to cut off. Many of the groups practice independently and have no significant connection to the larger groups. These splinter cells are all over the world and are more dangerous than any army. We had a case in North Carolina of a cell being arrested for training and planning to carry out attacks in the US. These groups do need to be stopped. But how do we stop thousands of small "armies" that have little structure and blend in as normal citizens? One thing I don't understand is why they are hurting the people that are there to help them, that have no military connection, and only wish to treat those injured. These seem to be the people they would want around, especially when one of them is wounded.
We have our own domestic terrorists right here in Durham. The criminal groups are running the streets hurting civilians just like in countries around the world. Just this week we had a shooting at IHOP where many were injured. This is no different than the shootings in the streets of Afghanistan. We need to solve our domestic problems of what I consider terrorists groups as well as the global state insurgent problem. We also had 9 Americans killed in Kabul, not by a terrorist, but by a man distraught over his finances. How do we fix all of this?
