Blog 1: Global Rankings in Education

Global Education Rankings

According to the PISA assessment China is on the top of the list for education.  That is not a shocker since education is greatly valued in their culture.  I mean these children sometimes go to school on the weekends in some parts of the country. There is really no time for play.  I guess that is why they are so far advanced than others even the United State, but we are not at the bottom unlike India. India’s educational system has fallen short of its duties and it also one of the more populated countries, like China.  It is said that the women of this country may have played a major role in this educational deficient, but it is not their fault.  There have not been any great measures done in their favor in order to have the opportunity of education.  That is a major concern in India.  India’s education system is far behind and the government is just now taking heart to the issue.  They want to be able to compete now.  India wants the children of their future to be to have the skills needed to obtain a job.
I think it is unfair for some women in India to be denied the same opportunity as others.  It is just not right.  Also the fact that India “now” takes education because they are now realizing that is should be a priority.  It seems to be about competition when it needs to be solely about the educational aspect. India needs some help with their educational system, but the questions are who and how can we help them? I know someone has to be at the bottom, but there is a difference in just being completely behind in the educational field.
