Women in the past almost 100 years have dramatically changed their status as a citizen and on how they are viewed. 100 years ago women were just a stay at home mother with her only job is the taking care of the family. Whether its watching the kids all day, making sure that food is prepared for the husband when he gets home from work, to taking care of all the household responsibilities. They were viewed as pretty much slaves to the husband and family. They were not expected to have a job only because the husband was suppose to make all the money and be the superior. Well in the past 60 years the view of this has drastically changed. Women nowadays are working, going to school etc.. In fact there are more women in Grad schools then men. Today there are alot more problems with family households now though. The divorce rate has skyrockted, and many men are out of work. Back in the past if a women tried to get a job they would be laughed at, now in alot of cases women are selected for jobs over men because they will work for extremly less and they will not complain about it. Now getting harder to find jobs alot of men are "giving up," on their families. They give up because they cannot support their families any longer and they dont feel like a man. With women now making incomes and still doing all the work at home, they no longer need a man by their side. Which is why divorce rates have gone up dramatically. To me women are taking over. Women by far to me are much better students at school. They focus more and try alot harder. To me in a hundred years from now the gender is going to make a complete 180 degree turn. Where the women become the money makers and the men become the house moms.
