Pandemic flu fears go viral
This article was about experts getting together to go to have a confidential meeting about the influenza A. This disease is attacking vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australian area. The disease is known as"highly pathogenic avian influenza virus of type A H5N1", H5N1 for short. This diease is also known as the swine flu. The disease jumps from birds to humans. The swine flu according to (www.freedictionary.com) is known as highly contagious form of influenza seen in swine, caused by a virus of the family Orthomyxoviridae. The infection is communicable to humans and caused a worldwide epidemic in 1918. from 1918 the cases are just getting worse the disease itself has killed more each year. According to www.theaustralian.com the disease right now H5N1 is circulating widely in Southeast Asia, affecting birds and people. Since January, it's killed people in Cambodia, China, Indonesia and Vietnam. H5N1 has killed 343 of the 582 people it's infected. The swine flu is very deadly the World Health Organization raised its flu alert level to Phase 6 – the highest level – indicating that a global pandemic was underway.(www.redcross.org) They go on to state that their is till no vaccine for this particular disease and that new ideas are on the way. I believe that this is a good way to start looking for a cure by getting more experts together to get many ideas on what they could do to stop the spread of the disease. It is very disturbing to know that a disease can spread from a bird to a human body and effect it so badly. I'm sure with all the experts on this case they will come up with some vaccine or a great idea to stop the spread. Many expert ideas are better than one
