Blog # 10: Peoria Public Schools Partners with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt to Spur 21st Century Transformation

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt a global education leader is partnering with Peoria Public Schools to implement a multifaceted education solution aimed at fostering digital culture and promoting connectivity. This partnership is focused on utilizing proven 21st century programs to prepare students, while engaging the entire education ecosystem to foster a learning environment like never before. HMH wants to partner with this school district because they see how the educators of this school system is committed to providing its students with a holistic, individualized education that implements dynamic digital components to engage each student. And they want to help this school district achieve the goals. HMH is working with school administrators to identify specific needs and interests as they build a solution that meet the requirements. The importance of Peoria Public Schools is the learning management system that improves students’ academic performance, provide efficient management logistics, and enable better data and analytic capabilities to ensure total accountability.  HMH came up with a solution called pinpoint. Pinpoint is the only fully integrated, district-wide information tool available for educators. This platform connects all critical education components into standard based curriculum. It brings multiple components, from grading and attendance to professional development and analytics, into one easy to use suite of tools. It allows teachers to have access to students learning, individual learning styles, grades, attendance, and behavior.
This is a global issue because Peoria Public Schools wants to have better quality education for all children in the district, so by partnering with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt they can work together to find a solution that will help Peoria Public Schools meet their goals. HMH is a partnership that is focused on providing students with holistic, individualized education that implements dynamic digital components to engage each student. The pinpoint tool that they came up with I believe is a great tool because it provides the educators with so much informative information that will help their teaching. This will help better the quality of education for this school district. We want better education for our children, so this is a step closer to bettering our education system.
