blog 13: Shoe bomber met Bin Laden

A U.K. terrorist named Saajid Badat was convicted for plotting in December 2001 to blow up a shoe bomb on a transatlantic airliner heading from Europe to the United States revealed in court on Thursday that he had met Bin Laden several times between 2000-2001 in Afghanistan.  Badet had indicated that he was involved in the world famous terrorist group Al-Qaeda.  Badat admitted he had conspired with shoe-bomber Richard Reid to launch the plot against transatlantic aviation.  Badat’s ties to bin Laden propose it is possible the deceased terrorist leader had a hand in the plots to target U.S. bound aviation with shoe bombs in late 2001.  Badat traveled back to the United Kingdom from the Afghanistan-Pakistan region with an explosive bomb or gadget in December 2001 but decided to pull out of launching the attack
Acts of terrorism are all over the world and some are more severe than others.  In this case, this act of terrorism is very severe.  Terrorism is no source of reasoning or getting what you want but people still thinks it works but it doesn’t.  It’s never worked and it’s completely wrong.  Sir Lanaka just went through a war with terrorism that last twenty-six years and the terrorist did not win.  Terrorist think they are fighting for themselves and people but hurting innocent people and killings them on purpose is terrorism.
